Beautiful places in Scandinavia where you can work with MediCarrera

There are many breathtakingly beautiful places in Scandinavia which makes it hard to choose only one as the most beautiful. We are very happy to operate and being able to offer vacancies in some of these beautiful places, all over Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. We know that everyone has a different view of what’s visually beautiful. But in this blog post, we’ll list some of all the beautiful places in Scandinavia, according to us.

Mosjøen is a town in Vefsn Municipality in Nordland county in Norway. In 2018, it had a population of 9,834 and a population density of 1,528 inhabitants per square kilometer. There are daily departures from Mosjøen so the city is well connected to the rest of the country. The town’s harbor is also among the largest in Northern Norway. Mosjøen, like all the other municipalities in Norway, is responsible for primary education, outpatient health services, senior citizen services, unemployment, and other social services among other things. Many bigger events for children and youths also take place in the city.¹

Göteborg (Sweden)

Göteborg is Sweden’s second-biggest city and has a population of approx. 570,000 in the city proper and about 1 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area. The city is located in the south of Sweden. Its climate is fairly mild because of the warmth from the Gulf Stream. Göteborg is easily accessible on foot or bike and has an excellent tram and bus network. The public transport system includes the ferries that run to and from the archipelago which is perfect as Göteborg offers a lot of things to see and do, everything from culture, shopping, and world-class restaurants to stunning nature.² ³

Hjørring (Denmark)

Hjørring is a city, located in North Denmark, with a population measured to 25,780, at the beginning of this year. It’s one of Denmark’s oldest towns since archaeological discoveries show that the area was already populated 10,000 years ago. Hjørring offers good educational opportunities including a gymnasium, a business and technical college, a nursing school, and a large hospital. The principal railway station of the city offers direct InterCity services to Copenhagen.

Nyköping (Sweden)

Nyköping is a Swedish city located around 100 km south-west of the capital, along the Baltic Sea. In 2017, Nyköping had 32,759 inhabitants. Winters are normally tempered by the Gulf Stream influence from the west and to a lesser degree the Baltic Sea to the east. Nyköping is a modern municipality, firmly rooted in its historical and cultural roots. The city offers a lot of things to do the year around. There are many lots of activities for the ones who like to exercise. For example, there is a 1000 km long hiking trail, sports facilities, and a slalom slope, among many other things.⁵

Aalborg (Denmark)

Aalborg is Denmark’s fourth-largest city with an urban population of 140,897. The city is located at the narrowest point of the Limfjord and the distance to Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen, is 412 km if traveling by road. Today, Aalborg is in the transition from a working-class industrial area to a knowledge-based community. For instance, a concerted effort is being made to rejuvenate the central industrial areas and turn neglected spaces into something far more appealing.⁷ ⁸

Lofoten (Norway)

Lofoten is an archipelago in northern Norway. The archipelago is known for its distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks. It’s also known for its open sea and sheltered bays, beaches, and untouched lands. The largest town in Lofoten is Leknes, located approx. 169 km inside the Arctic Circle and approx. 2,420 km away from the North Pole. In other words, these measurements make Lofoten one of the world’s northernmost populated regions.
